How the current CUPEC Cloud preview handles sign-in, conversations, voice and selected attachments.

About this preview
CUPEC Cloud is developed by Jonathan Mikanda. This notice describes the current private iPhone and iPad preview, which connects to an approved workspace. Public account registration is not enabled.
For access questions, start with your workspace administrator. To ask CUPEC for the appropriate app or privacy contact, use @cupec.chula on Instagram. Do not send sensitive documents or credentials through social messages.
Conversations & AI processing
When you send a message, the CUPEC server receives it with the conversation context needed to answer. Selected files, photos and screenshots are sent when you submit them with your draft. Conversation content and tool results may be stored in the workspace.
The default approved CUPEC workspace uses OpenRouter to route requests to the selected model provider, such as DeepSeek. Your messages, relevant conversation history and selected attachments may be processed by those services to answer you. The server’s model and provider settings determine the recipient. Chat content is not necessarily processed locally on your phone. Confirm the applicable configuration when using another approved workspace.
Do not assume that selecting a model guarantees a particular retention period, that providers never retain content, or that information is excluded from training. Confirm the relevant service configuration and terms before sharing material.
Your permission comes first
Before AI sharing is enabled, the app presents an AI data sharing notice showing the connected server and selected model. Choose Allow and continue to proceed, or Not now to decline. Declining or dismissing the notice keeps the draft and attachments unsent.
The app remembers a versioned permission on this device for the connected server and signed-in identity. Switching accounts or servers requires the appropriate permission for that connection.
Open Settings → Privacy → Revoke AI sharing to turn off future sharing from the app. Revoking permission does not recall information already sent, delete stored conversations, or stop a request that is already running. Use Stop separately for an active response.
Optional personal context
The About You feature can save a name, work context, communication preferences and other details you choose to provide. This profile is stored in the authenticated workspace and can be included in future AI conversations to personalize replies.
Where shared-memory features are enabled, searches and indexing send your queries and relevant saved chat content to the server and its configured memory services. These capabilities vary by workspace. A restricted preview workspace may use sample records and a smaller set of tools.
Voice is optional
The microphone records after you start dictation or hold the controller trigger. iOS microphone and speech-recognition permissions control access.
The CUPEC Cloud iPhone and iPad target uses Apple Speech, rather than uploading microphone recordings to the CUPEC server’s transcription endpoint. Recognition runs on-device when supported; otherwise Apple’s speech service may process the audio. This is specific to the Cloud mobile build and does not describe other CUPEC desktop or transcription configurations.
The recognized text follows the same process as a typed chat message. It is sent when you submit it, or when you release the controller trigger in hold-to-talk mode. At the recording limit, the text remains in the draft.
Temporary working audio files are removed. If transcription fails, the app may keep the recording in memory for Retry until it is discarded or the app process ends.
Files, screenshots & the workspace
You choose the files, photos and screenshots to attach. The Linux screenshot action adds an image to your draft so you can review it before sending. Submitted attachments may contain personal or confidential information. A file you deliberately attach can include an audio recording or video. Such a file is uploaded when you send it; this is separate from Apple Speech microphone dictation.
The remote desktop displays the computer your workspace authorizes you to access. A shared computer is not an isolated private desktop for each person. Browser sessions, downloaded files and actions can remain on that computer or in its conversation history. Use only accounts and information you are authorized to access.
Company records and other research material may come from third-party sources. A public record does not prove that a profile is complete, that a director is an owner, or that financial information is current.
What stays on your device
The app stores session credentials in the iOS Keychain and uses a local conversation cache to reopen chats. The server remains the source of saved workspace conversations.
If your workspace supports notifications and you enable them, the app can register an Apple Push Notification service device token with the authenticated server to route notifications to your device. This token is not an advertising identifier. The presence of this optional capability does not mean notifications are available in every preview workspace.
No advertising or third-party analytics SDK was identified in the inspected mobile source. That does not mean the connected server or AI providers have no operational logs. Their practices must be confirmed separately.
Local connection diagnostics are designed to exclude prompts, credentials, URLs and screen frames. Support information you choose to send can still contain personal data; review it first.
Your choices & data requests
- You can use typed chat without granting microphone or speech-recognition access.
- You decide which attachments to submit and can review a screenshot before sending.
- You can revoke future AI sharing in Settings, stop a running response separately, and sign out of the app.
- For workspace data access, correction or deletion requests, contact the person who provided and operates that workspace.
Signing out does not delete server-side conversations. Removing the app, deleting a chat and deleting an account are also different actions.
The current beta preview has no public signup or self-service account-deletion flow. There is no universal retention period or backup-deletion schedule stated here for all workspaces. Request the applicable retention and deletion details from your administrator before using sensitive data.
This notice will need updating when public registration, new processors or other collection features are introduced. Those features should not be treated as available merely because they are planned.
